I had a chance to meet Tom Nechville in May, 2005, and he lent me one of his banjos while he was performing setup and adjustments on my Gibson RB-250 banjo. I caught the Nechville bug! Several months later I began talking with Nechville's Al Price about having a custom instrument made. I wanted to combine some features of the Nechville Classic (woods, stains, inlays) with some features of a Geometric Eclipse (Nechville-style headstock with higher-gear-ratio tuning pegs), and also get a radiused neck. The wait time on a new custom build was about 12 weeks, but it was a very enjoyable wait. Check out the pics below!

Also check out the Nechville web site: http://www.nechville.com

This is the artwork (from our debut CD) that
I've inserted into the back of the resonator.
It looks pretty cool!
